Italy has experienced the most severe impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe, but there had been many other problems in the country by the time the virus reached the continent. The almost constant political crises and the mismanaged funds had caused serious problems for the nation well before the lockdowns started. Now, Italy is facing a much graver consequence of its political practices, and the only person who the people thought was able to help the nation was Mario Draghi. But who is Mario Draghi, and how did he become the new Prime Minister? What can we expect from Italy moving forward? How does the new government intend to handle the domestic fallout following the virus? And, of course, how will the new government conduct its foreign policy?
